Strengthen employee skills and knowledge with BDA

In today’s rapidly changing work environment, a company’s competitiveness increasingly depends on employee skills and the ability to adapt to change. Continuous learning is a long-term investment that helps organisations work more efficiently, implement new solutions and use technology wisely in everyday operations.

For more than 30 years, the Baltic Computer Academy (BDA) has been the largest non-formal adult education centre in the Baltics, supporting companies in developing employee competencies in line with labour market and technological trends.

Practical training for a changing work environment

The labour market is evolving quickly – digitalisation, artificial intelligence and new ways of working are creating demand for a new level of skills. BDA training programmes are designed to deliver practical and measurable value, enabling participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge immediately after the training.

BDA training helps to:

  • develop in-demand digital skills aligned with market needs;
  • use technological solutions more effectively and automate processes;
  • increase employee productivity and support company growth.
  •

A wide range of courses and experienced instructors

BDA offers more than 200 courses across various fields – from project management, programming and cybersecurity to artificial intelligence and people skills development. Training is delivered by a team of over 150 instructors, all experienced professionals and experts in their fields.

Companies can also benefit from tailored solutions, including competency assessments and customised learning plans aligned with organisational goals and employee needs. In addition, BDA provides internationally recognised certifications and flexible learning formats – on-site, online or hybrid.

Artificial intelligence – an essential skill in modern work

Artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping how we work, analyse data and make decisions. BDA offers 13 different AI courses, from beginner to advanced level, combining theoretical understanding with practical skills in applying AI tools.

This year alone, nearly 3,000 participants have attended BDA AI training courses and free workshops, demonstrating the strong demand for these skills. Participants learn how to use AI for task automation, data analysis, content creation, idea generation and more effective communication.

Participant experience

The practical value of BDA training is also reflected in participant feedback – courses help not only to acquire new skills, but also to improve daily work processes and results across various industries:

“Thank you to the entire BDA team for the high-quality and truly valuable work. I have attended more than 10 BDA courses and obtained CISSP® and CISM® certifications. I consider part of my success to be the achievement of BDA instructors and staff as well.”
Maksims Plonis, Cybersecurity Manager, National Armed Forces

“Thank you for the valuable workshop. I am a beginner and only starting to explore AI applications. A lot of useful information – the training was high-quality and easy to understand.”
Ilze Gritāne

“Out of all the AI seminars I have attended, this one was the most useful. Concrete examples and practical use of different tools were shown. The lecturer was very well prepared.”
Anna Guscina

“Thank you for the high-quality and engaging training ‘AI in Focus – New Opportunities for More Productive Work’. The instructor, Kristaps Eniņš, is very knowledgeable, approachable and able to explain complex concepts in a clear and simple way. The practical examples helped us better understand where AI can be applied in everyday situations. We are pleased that our preschool teachers have already started using the acquired knowledge in their daily work, saving time when preparing for classes.”
Daina Kājiņa, Regional Manager, private preschool ‘CreaKids’

By partnering with BDA, companies gain a trusted learning partner that helps systematically develop employee skills and strengthen overall competitiveness.

Training programmes can be accessed even more cost-effectively with up to 100% co-financing from the European Union Recovery Fund, meaning companies only need to cover VAT on the total training cost.
