Development Academy for New Managers

In today’s dynamic organizational environment, leaders are expected to demonstrate not only professional competence but also the ability to make thoughtful decisions, inspire teams, and navigate complex financial and legal matters. This three-module program is designed to prepare emerging and new leaders for the next stage of their professional development by strengthening essential leadership skills. The program combines theory with practical exercises, discussions, and case analyses, providing participants with tools that can be immediately applied in everyday leadership practice.

Course content

Module 1: The Role and Identity of a New Manager, Communication, and Feedback

This module helps participants understand their role as leaders, develop an authentic leadership style, and enhance communication. Emphasis is placed on building trust, giving effective feedback, and managing common challenges faced by new leaders. The module concludes with the creation of an individual action plan for leadership development.

Module 2: Fundamentals of Financial Management for the New Manager

This module develops an understanding of financial processes and their role in management decisions. Topics include budget planning, costs, revenues, and cash flow, with a strong focus on the practical application of financial knowledge in everyday work.

Module 3: Legal Literacy for the New Manager

This module provides an overview of key legal aspects in a leader’s daily work — from employment relationships and employee evaluation to data protection and risks of emotional abuse. The focus is on the leader’s ability to make legally sound and responsible decisions.
