General English Language Course (B2 – C1)

Course “General English (B2–C1)” is designed for adults learning English as a foreign language who wish to become confident and effective users of English in academic, professional, and social environments. The program is developed in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and corresponds to C1 level.

Course Goals

The main goal of the course is to develop participants’ ability to use English fluently, accurately, and confidently in a wide range of real-life situations, to strengthen their reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills, to expand active vocabulary and functional language use, and to enable effective communication in international academic and professional contexts.

Course Learning Outcomes

After completing the course, participants will be able to:
  • Understand a wide range of demanding and longer texts and recognize implicit meaning 
  • Express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions 
  • Use English flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes 
  • Produce clear, well-structured, and detailed texts on complex subjects using appropriate language structures and cohesive devices.

  • Listening tasks related to conferences, projects, and real-life situations

4. Writing Skills Improvement 
  • Producing clear, well-structured texts 
  • Use of cohesive devices, connectors, and organizational patterns 
  • Writing on complex subjects for academic and professional purposes
